Aces Celebrate 40 Years

On Sunday 30th June, Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club celebrated their 40th anniversary with a reunion and family fun day.

Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club was formed in 1984 by a group of players who wanted to create their own team and within their first few seasons had won the Division 1 title and National Cup. In the 40 years since Aces were formed, the club has continued to grow and compete across all levels and have even appeared in European competition on multiple occasions.

The 40th anniversary celebration saw Aces members from across the club’s storied history come together at Stoke Mandeville Stadium to celebrate the club, it’s history, successes and friendships, new and old.
